The Spring 2009 19th Annual Pancake Breakfast was held on Sunday, April 18th. It was a big success with over 100 in attendance plus dozens of volunteers. The 4 different types of pancakes (blueberry, chocolate chip, M&M and plain) were enjoyed by all at this always fun, all you can eat, event.
“Special thanks should go to the American Legion Post # 76 that provided their excellent facility. Their generous and most gracious hospitality is always appreciated and a big part of making this fundraiser a successful event,” stated Johan Hille, President of the Central DuPage Kiwanis Club.
“We also want to thank all our sponsors and of course, the many attendees that enjoyed the delicious breakfast prepared by many hard working volunteers. Several thousand dollars was raised because of the hard work and generosity of many,” said Rob Renfro, this year’s Pancake Day organizer and long standing member (since 1990) of this all volunteer club.
