NewsMay 30, 2007 Kiwanis of Central DuPage Hosts Annual Scholarship Luncheon The Kiwanis Club of Central DuPage County hosted its annual scholarship luncheon on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Barone's in Glen Ellyn. Jim Allen, chairman of the club's Scholarship Committee, presented Brenda Marcy, Scholarship Coordinator at College of DuPage, with checks for this year's first year and second year winners:
Counselors who attended were Chuck Manson from Glenbard South, Kate Culloton from Glenbard West, Jeff Pawlak from Wheaton-Warrenvile South, and Robin Craig from Glenbard North. Also in attendance were the parents of Tony James and Lauren Engle. In addressing the students, Jim Allen stressed the family angle of Kiwanis and said that he hoped that the students would become Kiwanians someday. |
